Smith joins Dover

Forster brings in former Brighton team mate.

Nicky Forster has signed winger Jamie Smith to Dover’s ranks after a successful trial.

The 22-year-old was well known to Forster as the pair were together at Brighton. Smith joins having left Leyton Orient at the end of last season, and also having spent the previous three years at Brighton where he made 10 first team appearances.

Forster told the club’s website: “I know Jamie from our Brighton days and he has done well. Nobody is guaranteed a place in the team but he’ll strengthen us.”
