Ebbsfleet United survived a scare at the Conference’s bottom club Bath City to win 3-2 on Saturday, despite having keeper Preston Edwards sent off midway through the second half.

The Fleet took an eighth-minute lead with a close-range effort from Nathaniel Pinney, but wasted chances to add to their lead and were pegged back on 61 minutes when Gethin Jones headed Bath level.

Edwards was then sent off for allegedly raising his hands during a melee, but the Fleet regained the lead when sub Ricki Shakes scored just three minutes after he replaced Tom Phipp, following a surging run from Gozie Ugwu.

Ugwu then pounced on a defensive error to add the Fleet’s third, but seven minutes of injury-time were added, during which City’s Sean Canham pulled one back.

In Conference South Dartford remain second despite losing at leaders Woking in front of a crowd of 2,500.

The only goal came on three minutes when Alan Inns was left unmarked to head in Keiran Murtagh’s corner.

Dover remain in the hunt for a play-off place after a 3-1 home win over Truro moved them up to sixth.

Despite falling behind to a penalty from Scott Walker on 11 minutes, Dover quickly equalised through George Purcell, then went ahead on 35 minutes with a spot-kick by Jemal Johnson.

Veteran striker Barry Hayles hit the post for Truro in the second half and the points were only secured when Billy Bricknell scored Dover’s third in the last minute of normal time.

Tonbridge Angels are 11th after a 3-0 win over Weston-Super-Mare at Longmead.

Frannie Collin struck twice near the hour mark and Jon Main added a third late on from the penalty spot after a foul on Sonny Miles.

In the Ryman Premier Division Margate suffered a 3-0 defeat at East Thurrock and are 12th, while Folkestone Invicta are now fourth in Division 1 South after a 4-1 win at Faversham saw them leapfrog Maidstone United, who were held to a 0-0 draw at Dulwich and drop to fifth.

Hythe are eighth after a 3-1 win at home to Crawley Down, while Ramsgate are a place below them after beating Burgess Hill Town 3-2.

Whitstable Town’s miserable run of form continued - thumped 5-0 at home to promotion challengers Whitehawk.
