Defender joins Jamie Day’s side.

Former AFC Wimbledon defender Fraser Franks has signed for Welling United.

Franks, who is predominantly a centre-back was part of the Dons’ Blue Square Premier play-off winning side, and has also appeared for Hayes and Yeading and Newport County.

The tall 21-year-old, spent his youth at Chelsea, and Brentford.

His arrival means he links up with former Dons team mate Jon Main who signed for the Wings last month following his release from Tonbridge Angels.
