Craig Holloway joins Margate from Welling.

Margate have announced the signing of experienced Welling United keeper Craig Holloway.

The 27-year-old former Arsenal stopper was in the Wings side which lost out to Dartford in the Blue Square South play-off final last month.

He has also played for Bromley, Braintree Town, Chelmsford City, Ebbsfleet United, Southend United, and Farnborugh.

Defender John Beales has also re-signed for the club, having originally joined from Tonbridge Angels in October last year.

He made his debut in the 2-1 Kent Senior Cup win over Cray Wanderers, and went on to make 36 appearances.

Manager Chris Kinnear told the club’s official website: “It’s a bit easier (this season), there are more players about.

“I think people know that Jake and I are here to do well and based on the conversations I’ve had (with players) I think we’ll be able to attract good quality players to the club.”
