Extra tickets for Gillingham v Charlton clash go on sale after original allocation of 1,600 sell out

Big crowd expected at The Valley as two rivals clash in vital League One match

Additional tickets have been released for Gillingham’s crunch League One away clash with near neighbours Charlton Athletic.

A large travelling contigent are expected to make the trip to The Valley on Easter Monday for the 3pm kick-off.

An extra 500 tickets went on sale today (Thursday) with Gills fans place in the seated and covered Jimmy Seed Stand. Some 1,600 tickets have already been sold to Gills fans.

Advance ticket sales runs until 1pm on Saturday. Tickets are expected to be available on the gate - but come with a £3 price hike.

The last time the two rivals met at The Valley was in 2010 when the teams drew 2-2.

When Charlton travelled to Priestfield earlier this season, it pulled in the biggest crowd of the year with 8,670 watching a 1-1 draw.
