A Dover man has been charged with a shooting in Alkham which left a motorist critically ill in hospital.
Paul Smith, also known as Andrew Bywater, from Friars Way, handed himself into police on Wednesday, November 4.
The 45-year-old was charged with attempted murder and appeared in court today (Friday).
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, November 23.
The shooting took place on Monday, October 26, at around 10pm in Alkham Valley Road, near Dover.
A 31-year-old man was shot in the stomach and is recovering at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
