RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION
Dartford v Bognor Regis Town
The Darts stretched their lead at the top of the Ryman Premier to 13 points with last Saturday’s 4-1 demolition of Ashford Town (Middlesex) and they have conceded just once in five games at Princes Park.
Bognor, by contrast, have collected just one goal and one point on their travels, although their 2-0 win against Ashford on Tuesday night dragged them to within three points of safety.
Hastings United v Margate
Two weeks after arriving at Hartsdown Park, new Gate manager Mark Butler takes charge of his first game this afternoon and a trip to second-placed Hastings should provide him with an instant indication of his current squad’s capabilities.
Only Dan Young misses the game through injury, with Butler able to pick from an otherwise full-strength squad. Hastings have faltered in recent weeks, shipping six in their FA Trophy defeat at Merstham and four in an entertaining draw with Butler’s old side, Ashford Town.
Horsham v Cray Wanderers
Cray dropped into the bottom four following their 3-3 draw with Carshalton Athletic and have now won only once in seven outings.
Horsham, however, are only four places and two points better off and this will be their first taste of league action since a 1-0 win against Maidstone on 13 October.
Maidstone United v Kingstonian
Level on 19 points, these two sides know a win today could lift them to as high as fourth, with the Stones looking to extend their recent winning run, which stands at three.
Jermaine Darlington is expected to continue at left-back with Ashley Ulph injured, and Gabriel Odunaike may be handed a full debut in attack. The Ks have the worst defensive record in the division, although only leaders Dartford have scored more.
Tonbridge Angels v Aveley
Tommy Warrilow is expected to make just one change from the side that dispatched Merstham 6-1 in last Saturday’s FA Trophy tie, with Anthony Storey returning from injury to replace the suspended Lee Minshull in midfield.
Angels have not tasted league victory since September and they are now just three points from the drop zone. Aveley, immediately above them, have lost three of their last four matches, conceding 13 goals in the process.
RYMAN DIVISION ONE SOUTH
Chatham Town v Ashford Town
The Chats have won two on the bounce and are on the brink of the play-off places, with only four points separating them from top spot in a congested promotion-chasing pack.
Lee Barnett and Brad Potter continue on the road to recovery from ankle injuries but neither will feature today. For Ashford, Joe Fuller is a doubt after picking up a knock against Walton & Hersham on Tuesday.
Corinthian Casuals v Folkestone Invicta
After 11 days without a game, Invicta will reclaim top spot in the division if they better Worthing’s result at Fleet, with Jimmy Dryden in contention after resting his knee injury.
However, James Everitt and Simon Austin are likely to continue in attack against a Casuals side who have been frustratingly inconsistent this season, as yet failing to register back-to-back wins.
Merstham v Sittingbourne
Gary Abbott has no injury concerns and will name the same side that ran out 3-1 winners against Walton Casuals last Saturday. The Brickies’ game with Burgess Hill was called off an hour before kick-off on Tuesday after ground staff failed to clear standing water from the Bourne Park pitch.
Merstham occupy the final play-off place and are unbeaten at Moatside this season.
Met Police v Whitstable Town
Without a win in nine league games, Whitstable are firmly rooted to the foot of Ryman One South, with only hapless Chipstead having scored fewer goals.
Mark Munday has moved to bring in midfielders Paul Axon (Margate), and Dean Grant (dual registration with Dover) and both are likely to make their debuts. The Met are without a win in four and sit 15th in the division.
Ramsgate v Croydon Athletic
Jim Ward’s Ramsgate are fast becoming the league’s form side with five wins and 16 goals in their last six outings, and they will face Bishop’s Stortford in the FA Trophy after winning at Fleet.
The Rams will hope Gary Mickelborough’s scoring streak continues against title favourites Croydon, who have yet to live up to their billing and have drawn their last three on the road.
