Yet another smash on A290 Pean Hill between Whitstable and Blean as woman left in serious condition

Crash involved a bus and a VW Polo car at around 10.15pm on Wednesday night

A smash on a notorious stretch of road between Blean and Whitstble has left a woman in a serious condition in hospital.

The crash occured at around 10.15pm last night (Wednesday) on the A290 Pean Hill and involved a bus and a black VW Polo between Blean and Whitstable..

The stretch of road linking Whitstable and Canterbury has developed a reputation as an accident hotspot.

Police and ambulance rushed to the scene and a woman from Thanet was treated for injuries described as serious.

A man from Herne Bay was treated for minor injuries.

The woman was taken to a London hospital and the man went to a local hospital for further medical attention.

Officers from the police’s serious collision investigation unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the vehicles immediately before or during the collision, or who have dashcam footage to get in contact.
