Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward

A driver who smashed into two parked cars in Folkestone last night has died.

At around 7pm, a white Citroen C3 was travelling along Weymouth Road towards the High Street and collided with a grey Peugeot 208 and a Volkswagen Touran.

The driver of the Citroen, a local woman, died at the scene.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is asking any witnesses who saw the collision or the vehicle before the collision, and who have not yet spoken to officers, to contact the appeal line on 01622 798538 or email sciu.td@kent.pnn.police.uk quoting AH/DJ/67/17.
