Did you see anything in the early hours of this morning to help police?

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in the neck following a disturbance close to Ramsgate marina in the early hours of this morning (Friday).

Police were called just before 1.15am to Harbour Parade.

The victim had suffered an injury to his neck which police describe as “consistent with a stab wound” and was taken to a London hospital.

At the time of going to press he remained in a stable condition.

A 28-year-old man from Margate and a 32-year-old man from Ramsgate were arrested on suspicion of assault and currently remain in police custody while enquiries are ongoing.

Both parties are believed to be known to each other.

Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time of the disturbance, and saw anything which might assist their investigation, to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 22-038.

Alternatively, contact Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
