The Premier League side trains in Beckenham

Joel Ward is the latest Premier League star to appear in a new online series.

The Crystal Palace defender jumped in the passenger seat as comedian Lloyd Griffith drove him to the side’s Beckenham training ground for the new BBC Three series, Taxi to Training.

Footballers open up and go through a series of challenges as Griffith escorts them to work in his battered hatchback.

Damian Kavanagh, controller of BBC Three, says: “Taxi To Training will transport audiences to the passenger seat of a Premier League footballer’s journey to work, balancing candid insight with comedy via some of the Premier League’s famous faces.”

Tony Pastor, executive producer of Goalhanger Films, says: “If you think professional footballers have a great life working a few hours a day, earning a fortune and having a bit of fun, this series will do nothing to change your mind.”
