White light filled the sky at Paddock Wood

Mysterious goings-on were reported in the skies over Kent last night.

An “enormous” white light was seen over Paddock Wood after darkness fell, disappearing at about 1am.

Maurice Greenstreet, 65, who lives in Ringden Avenue, spotted the unusual sight, as did his father.

“It was an enormous white light. My dad said it had been up there for about half an hour before I saw it,” he told Kent on Sunday.

“It was much bigger than an aircraft. It was ever so low on the horizon. Then all of a sudden it turned itself off and this white speckle just went across the sky.”
