Two men are being treated in hospital after a four-car smash in Sittingbourne on Monday evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Crown Quay Lane just before 6pm, where firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of one car to release a man.

A spokesperson said: “He was then handed into the care of South East Coast Ambulance Service.

“Three other male drivers were already out of their vehicles prior to fire crews arrival.

“It is believed two men were taken to hospital.”

Two fire engines were sent to the incident and left just before 7.30pm.
