Three charged after aggravated burglary in Canterbury

Police investigating an aggravated burglary in Canterbury last year have charged three men.

Osman Elmi, 25, of Finsbury Road, Wood Green; Kerem Bedensel, 28, of Partridge Way, Wood Green; and Reneo Shehu, 19, of no fixed address, were arrested near the scene of the incident in Edgar Road, in the early hours of Wednesday, November 2.

All three have been charged with aggravated burglary while Mr Elmi is also accused of possession of a handgun, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, and possession of cocaine.

Mr Bedensel faces additional charges of dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance, and Mr Shehu is accused of possession of cocaine.

The men will all appear before Margate magistrates on May 30 in connection with the burglary, which is being investigated by officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.
