Ex-Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler will also line up at the match to raise funds for a children’s charity.
Stars of the small screen will line up against ex-footballers in Whitstable in a charity football match.
Britain’s Got Talent winner George Sampson, Hollyoaks’ Anthony Quinlan and Shameless’ Ellicott Tittensor will all be playing at the fundraising match at Belmont Ground on Saturday, July 22.
Sampson, who won the second series of the hit television talent show, will play against ex-professionals including ex-Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler and football legend Nicky Southall.
The team will also include local non-league footballers including Whitstable’s FA Vase winner Mark Seager, Margate’s Dean Yorath and Gravesend’s Mark Munday.
The game is raising money for children’s charity Once Upon A Smile, with tickets going on sale on Friday, June 1.
Activities will also take place before the match, with plans to have a junior football match, a live band and a dance troupe already lined up in what the club hopes to make a “family fun day for everyone”.
As well as the kickabout, Whistable Town FC will also be holding a VIP event the night before, where people can meet the celebrities and pose for photographs.
There will be only 100 tickets available for this exclusive event, which will also have a kareoke machine and a bar.
