17-year-old lunged at torchbearer as flame was carried through the streets of Gravesend
Drama as man makes grab for Olympic TorchThis is the moment a teenage boy tried to grab the Olympic Torch from the hands of torchbearer as the iconic flame travelled along the streets of Gravesend.
The 17-year-old, from Gravesend, was wrestled to the ground immediately after he lunged at torchbearer Anna Skora at around 9.55am today.
Officers arrested him and he is now in police custody.
No one was injured in the incident and the torch continued on its way without disruption.
