Teenager arrested over ‘knuckle duster’ fight in Tunbridge Wells High Street

Follows incident in the town in the early hours of Sunday morning

A teenager from Sussex has been charged with carrying out assaults armed with a knuckle duster following a disturbance in Tunbridge Wells.

It was reported that between 2.50am and 3am on August 27 two men were attacked, during an altercation involving a number of people in the High Street.

Connor Hewett, aged 19 and of Aldervale Cottages, Crowborough was arrested in connection with the incident.

He has now been charged with two offences of assault and with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

Hewett has been bailed to appear before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on September 12.
