Teenager, 16, held after ‘threats to kill’ in a restaurant in Week Street, Maidstone

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after threats were made to a member of staff at a Maidstone restaurant last night (Thursday).

Police were called to a disturbance at the eatery in Week Street at around 6.30pm.

The teenager from Borough Green was subsequently arrested nearby on suspicion of assault, threats to kill, possessing a bladed article and possession of cannabis.

He remains in police custody while the investigation is ongoing.
