Teenage boy due in court over Maidstone murder charge

He will appear before magistrates today

A 16-year-old boy will appear before magistrates today charged with the murder of a 50-year-old man.

Police were called to Week Street, Maidstone at 10.30pm on Friday, where they discovered a man suffering with a head injury.

He was rushed to a London hospital where he later died.

Since the incident, police arrested four teenagers on suspicion of murder.

An 18-year-old man and 17-year-old boy have been bailed to return to police on October 11, while a 15-year-old was bailed until October 12.

The 16-year-old will appear at Mid Kent Magistrates Court today.
