Robbers threatened staff with a hammer in a raid at a Coral bookmakers in Herne Bay.

It was reported that at around 8.20pm on Monday, two men walked up to the counter of the business in Fleetwood Avenue, threatened staff and stole cash. The victims were not hurt.

The first suspect is described as white, 5 ft 9 ins tall with a slim to medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded top and had a scarf round his face.

The second suspect was described as white, similar height and build. He was wearing a dark coat and also had a scarf across his face.

The two men were seen leaving the bookmakers along Grand Drive. Anyone with information about the robbery or who saw anything that may help with the investigation is asked to contact Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference ZY/054633/17.
