Trains will not be stopping at Knockholt until around midday

Knockholt station has been closed to commuters this morning for a police investigation.

British Transport Police has said officers were called to the station in the early hours of Tuesday morning, but no reason has yet been given.

The closure means trains will not be calling at Knockholt until around midday.

A replacement bus service will instead run between the station and Chelsfield.

A spokesperson from Southeastern said: “Emergency services are dealing an incident at Knockholt, closing the station.

“Trains will not be stopping at Knockholt in either direction until further notice.

“You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today. Please keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.”
