Police are appealing for witnesses after two lorries were involved in a smash on the M20 last Friday.

The trucks collided at around 3.25am on the London-bound carriageway of the motorway at junction 7 near Maidstone, and queues built throughout the morning as thousands looked to make their way to the Kent County Show in Detling.

Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where a man received medical attention for serious injuries. He was taken to a London hospital for further treatment.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the vehicles immediately before or during the collision, or who have dashcam footage to get in contact.

Witnesses can call the appeal line on 01622 798538 quoting DK/MR/152/17.
