Mia pulled from the Medway
Two Australian athletes rescued a dog belonging to the UK civil servant responsible for the Olympic Games after they spotted it stuck in the River Medway during a walk.
The men, believed to be distance runners spotted Mia, a golden retriever which belongs to Jonathan Stephens, in difficulties.
Mr Stephens’ wife, Penny, was unable to get the animal out of the water but the athletes pulled it to safety.
