Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which occured at around 7.20am on Wednesday

A motorcyclist has been left with serious injuries after a crash in a village near Faversham this morning (Wednesday).

The smash been the bike and a car took place just before 7.20am on The Street in Doddington, between the junctions of Church Hill and Chequers Hill.

Road closures are in place while emergency services deal with the incident.

Motorists are being advised to allow extra time due to the road closures.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact the serious collision investigation unit on 01622 798538 quoting incident ref: 11-189.
