Hundreds are expected at Medway Moves for Molly on Sunday, October 22
Fresh details of a family funday to raise money in memory of Molly McLaren have been revealed by the tragic Cobham student’s friends.
Miss McLaren, 23, who was studying exercise, sport and health education at the University of Kent’s Medway campus, was killed in a shopping centre car park back in June.
Following her death, friends and family set up the Molly McLaren Foundation, which aims to support those with eating disorders.
The event, named Medway Moves for Molly, offers a range of activities, exercise and fun for people of all ages when it rolls into Medway Park on Sunday, October 22.
Visitors are encouraged to try pilates, zumba or spinning, while there will also be facepainting, bungee runs, soft play areas, free health checks, giveaways and a luxury raffle, including prizes such as manicures and pedicures, sports massages, afternoon tea, signed cook books from both Joe Wicks and Deliciously Ella, facials and Leeds Castle family tickets.
Friends Amy Lee and Jen Hamer told us last month they were hoping for 300 people to attend to help “continue what Molly started” by shining the light on eating disorders.
Tickets for the event, being run in partnership with the university, are £5, which includes one fitness class, and are available to buy here.
