Margate man found on seafront with serious head injuries dies in hospital

Officers are not looking to make arrests in connection to the man’s death at this stage but are hoping to find out the circumstances leading up to the incident

A probe has been launched into the death of a man who was found with serious head injuries after going for a walk along Margate seafront.

The man, believed to be in his 30s and from the Cliftonville area, was found by members of the public on the beach between Cliftonville and Palm Bay in Margate at around 8.05am on Tuesday, March 12.

An ambulance was called and he was taken to Kings College Hospital where he later died from serious head injuries.

It is understood there were a number of dog walkers in the area at the time of the incident and officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the man in the moments before he was discovered on the beach.

Kent Police is not looking to make any arrests in connection to the man’s death at this stage and officers are hoping to ascertain the circumstances leading up to the incident.
