Officers executed a search warrant in Five Oak Green earlier this week

More than 200 cannabis plants have been seized by police following a search of a property near Tunbridge Wells.

Officers executed a search warrant at an address in Colts Hill, Five Oak Green, on Wednesday morning.

Nicholas Cox, 36, of no fixed address, was arrested at the scene and later charged with producing a controlled drug – cannabis.

He appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday where he was remanded into custody.

A further suspect, a 35-year-old man, was also arrested in connection with the investigation, at an address in Marden near Tonbridge, also on Thursday.

He has now been released, pending further investigation.
