M20 Londonbound: Two lanes blocked by vehicle on its side, causing delays for rush hour traffic

The incident happened before 4pm today

Motorists are being advised to avoid using the M20 after a vehicle rolled onto its side this afternoon.

Kent Police officers are at the scene after the accident, which happened on the Londonbound carriageway between junctions seven and six.

No injuries have been reported.

Officers were called to the scene at 3.51pm.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Lanes one and two will remain closed until the vehicle is recovered and drivers are advised to consider alternative routes.”

A spokesperson from Kent Highways warned motorists should “expect delays on the approach and surrounding areas and all extra time for your journey.”

Highways England expects delays to clear by 6pm.
