Two vehicles collided in Glassenbury Road on Monday evening

Firefighters dramatically removed the roof of a car to rescue a woman who was trapped after being involved in a smash in Cranbrook.

Two vehicles collided in Glassenbury Road just after 5pm on Monday, as emergency services rushed to the scene.

A spokesperson said: “One woman was trapped by her injuries, so crews worked closely with paramedics to create space inside the vehicle, allowing the casualty to be assessed before she was removed to a waiting ambulance.”
