Rush hour traffic slow in Dartford area

A fatal crash on the M25 close to Junction 30 at Lakeside Shopping Centre has caused major delays for drivers getting back into Kent.

The multi vehicle accident is causing a back log of traffic around the Dartford Crossing area stopping rush hour traffic coming into the county.

Three people were trapped and had to be cut out of their vehicles while Essex police said one person died at the scene and two others were airlifted to hospital.

Police expect junction 30 southbound to remain closed throughout the rush hour as traffic is diverted off the M25.

This is also causing slow traffic on the A2 Darenth Interchange and A282, Dartford Crossing’s toll booths.
