The incident took place in Hasletts Close at around 11.30am, and two fire engines attended the scene.

The elderly driver had managed to get out of the vehicle by the time crews arrived, but was administered first aid.

The man was then handed into the care of ambulance crews, but he is not thought to have needed hospital admittance.

Firefighters then checked the garage and porch for structural damage.

Reasons as to why the crash occurred have not been reported, and no one is thought to have been seriously injured.

Emergency services left the scene at 12.12pm.
