Police have released a computer generated image of a man they would like to speak to, following reports a woman was stabbed with a needle in Chatham.

The incident is reported to have occurred at around 11.15am on August 4 when the victim, a woman in her thirties, was walking along Castle Road when she was assaulted by a man.

The man is alleged to have used a fine needle to stab the victim which left her requiring surgery to remove the small object. Officers have carried out several enquiries since the incident but are now appealing for help from the public.

The man is described as white, medium build and with short brown hair which was styled into a quiff. He was around 5ft 9ins tall and aged in his early twenties.

He was wearing a grey ‘Mackenzie’ tracksuit top and bottoms.
