A McDonald’s worker helped to stop robbers from taking a delivery worker’s bicycle in Canterbury.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident on St George’s Street, as they search for two men who pushed the delivery worker to the floor outside the fast food restaurant on October 28.

The pair tried to steal his push bike, but when a member of staff intervened, they instead ran off empty handed.

Both offenders were wearing black tracksuit bottoms, one was wearing a white T-shirt, the other a black T-shirt.

The incident between 8.30pm and 8.45pm.

A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Anyone with information about the incident is asked to phone Kent Police on 01843 222289 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting reference number ZY/52657/17.”
