Motorist warned of delays overnight

Motorists are being warned of disruption at the Dartford crossing on Saturday night as a huge electrical generator is taken from Kent to Essex.

As a result, the QE2 Bridge will be closed overnight with the tunnel taking both south and northbound traffic.

Motorists say as a result delays can be expected.

The bridge will shut between 10pm and be lifted by 5am on Sunday morning.

The load is being moved from Littlebrook Power Station to Tilbury Docks.
