The boy suffered from facial injuries and had to be taken to a local hospital

Police are appealing for witnesses after a boy was taken to hospital from a flying object hurled at his face.

It is reported that a group of children were walking along Dunes Road in Greatstone when an object, possibly a stone, was thrown from a wooded area and struck a boy’s face.

The boy suffered from facial injuries described a two fractures, bruising and swelling and had to go to a local hospital for medical attention.

The reported assaulted happened at 6pm on Monday, January 23.
