Boy, 17, arrested after Margate distraction burglary

A teenager has been arrested following a report of a distraction burglary in Margate

Between midday and 6.50pm on Tuesday, two people approached and spoke to the victim, a woman in her 60s, through the window of her home in Warwick Road, Cliftonville.

The victim then noticed a person in the property and confronted them. She realised later money was missing from her handbag.

A 17-year-old boy from Margate was arrested on suspicion of burglary on Wednesday and released on bail until August 22 while enquiries continue.
