Appeal after elderly man hit by lorry on Sevenoaks High Street

The collision took place between a lorry, a white Mercedes Tipper and an 85-year-old pedestrian
An elderly man has been rushed to a London hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a lorry this afternoon.
The 85-year-old pedestrian was struck by the vehicle on Sevenoaks High Street, where part of the road was sealed off whilst police carried out their investigations.
A Kent Police spokesperson said:
“Officers from Kent Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Sevenoaks which left an 85-year-old man seriously injured.
“At 10.44am on Thursday, February 16 Kent Police received a report which stated a collision had taken place between a lorry, a white Mercedes Tipper, and a pedestrian in the High Street. It happened about 50 metres before the junction with London Road.
“The pedestrian sustained injuries to his head, leg and arms and was taken to a London hospital for treatment.
“No arrests have been made in connection to the incident and the driver of the lorry is assisting officers with their enquiries, which remain ongoing.”
