An investigation led by British Transport Police chief Ian Johnston has been launched into the handling of the arrest of a Kent MP.  

 

Damian Green, the Tory MP for Ashford is being probed by police as part of an inquiry into a series of Home Office leaks.  

 

The shadow immigration minister had his offices in the Commons searched and spent nine hours in police custody on Thursday.  

MPs of all parties are angry over the handling of the case.
