Controversial plans to build a sludge recycling plant in Sellindge will be discussed by council chiefs this week.
Shepway council’s planning committee has scheduled time to review the application to build an anaerobic digester and recycling plant at their meeting on Tuesday.
The plans proposed by CountryStyle Recycling would see the plant built on the old Otterpool Quarry site off the A20, on the edge of the village and opposite the popular Airport Cafe. The site is midway between Ashford and Hythe.
It has created significant opposition from residents in the surrounding area.
The meeting, which is open to members of the public, will be held in Folkestone at the Civic Centre in Castle Hill Avenue at 7pm.
