Charlton will be without influential midfielder Andy Reid for this weekend’s trip to Portsmouth.
He aggravated the hamstring injury which had kept him out of four games during last weekend’s home drubbing by Middlesbrough.
Boss Alan Pardew said: “Unfortunately there was some mismanagement I felt last week between us all, including the player, in terms of his injury.
“Perhaps we should have taken him off but we've aggravated it. It's not too bad I have to say, but bad enough to miss the Portsmouth game.
“We can't afford those kind of mistakes between now and the end of the season.
“But he should be back for the Bolton game, when we hope that Bent and Young will also be available.”
