Police hunt for road rage van driver

Police are appealing for information after a van driver caused motorway drama in an alleged road rage-fuelled incident.

The angry scene happened when the driver of a plain white van suddenly braked to a halt in front of a purple Citroen C4 Picasso on the roundabout leading onto the M20 at junction eight.

The van briefly stopped and then continued on the slip road towards the Ashford bound carriageway, but before it reached the motorway the van stopped again and turned on its hazards lights.

A man then got out, ran towards the Citroen and threatened the driver.

To avoid the angered man, the Citroen driver reversed back up the slip road - causing other alarmed approaching motorists to flash their headlights.

The man then returned to the van and continued towards Ashford.

The incident took place at 6.30pm on Sunday, February 21.

Any witnesses are asked to call DC Graham Sines on 01795 419 339 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
