Victim Steven Bygrave
The family of a man found stabbed to death have described themselves as “heartbroken”, Yourswale reports.

Steven Bygrave, 36, was found dying from stab wounds to his chest at an address in Oak Road, Sittingbourne, on Saturday.

His cousin, 31-year-old Robert George Bygrave, has been charged with his murder.

In a statement his family said: “Steven was the father of two lovely sons, Ben and Zach. He was also uncle to Branden, who he treated like his own son.

“Steven had two sisters, Claire and Leanne, and four brothers, Richard, Christopher, Shaun and Brad.

"He will be missed by all his family, particularly his father Richard and his mother Carol.

“He had many friends and was liked by everyone who knew him.

“Since Steven died many people have approached us and said how kind-hearted he was and how he would help anyone.

"Steven did have a few rough periods in his life, as people do, but over the last year he had improved his lifestyle and many people had commented on how well he was looking.

“He was tragically taken from us on Saturday, June 6. He had done absolutely nothing to deserve this and we are all are heartbroken.

“We all loved Steven and always will. He will be remembered by us all and remain in our hearts forever.”

Bygrave, of Harold Road, Sittingbourne, will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, June 22.
