A teenage dad toasted his £700,000 lotto jackpot win with his girlfriend on Wednesday - even though she hauled him in front of court for breaking her phone in a violent rage.
Ollie Kennedy, 18, from Folkestone, celebrated his win with sweetheart Kelly Lucas, 18, after their shared £1 ticket scooped the biggest prize of their life in Saturday's draw.
He was determined to set the record straight over allegations of his ‘hoodie’ claims on a social networking website.
He admitted smashing his girlfriend’s mobile phone during an argument and confessed: “I’ve been in a bit of trouble, but nothing really. The money’s going in a child’s trust fund for my son.”
Girlfriend Kelly, also 18, was with him at the Hythe Imperial Hotel to pick up the cash yesterday.
Kelly called police when Ollie "lost his rag" and he ended up struggling to pay a £60 court fine slapped on him by Folkestone magistrates.
"I chucked her phone on the floor and she called the police.
"I don't think I got arrested - I just had to go in for an interview and then it went to court.
"I can't even remember what the argument was about now - it was nothing really. We're still together."
The dad-of-one insisted he is not a lotto lout and claimed pictures of him wearing a hoodie and posing with a pitbull on his Bebo webpage
were just "kids messing about".
He said: "I'm not a lout and definitely not part of a gang.
"Those pictures are just a bunch of 14-year-olds round my way messing about.
"We did it to take the mickey out of the other kids who run around in gangs.
"There's no danger of me getting into a gang, especially not now."
The young couple, who only started doing the lottery two months ago, said they were overwhelmed at the win after the same family birthday numbers they use every week came in.
Ollie said: "It's unbelievable, really. I checked our lottery tickets on Teletext when I got back from playing football on Sunday.
"Kelly was with me and we couldn't believe it when we saw that we had matched all six numbers.
"We're still in complete shock but obviously over the moon.
"We didn't know what to do with the ticket, so we decided the safest place to keep it would be in Kelly's dad's safe.
"We left it there while we went out to celebrate.
"The money went into my account today, but we really haven't decided what to do with it."
Kelly added that they plan on buying a starter home with the winnings in which to bring up their seven-month-old baby Danny.
She looks after the toddler at home with her parents but is desperate to set up home with Ollie, who lives with mum Louise, dad Trevor and brothers Josh, 16, Laurie, 17, and David, 19.
She said: "I'm living at my mum's, and Ollie's at home with his mum, so it would be nice to get a place together. We just want something basic to start off with."
And Ollie revealed he's planning on getting driving lessons to join Kelly on the road when she gets her dream car - a pink Peugeot 206.
He said: "I'm not really into getting a flash car or anything - maybe a Corsa or something.
"But we just want to get settled - we'll probably get a place near to our families. I don't want to leave Folkestone. "
He added that he will still accept a job at Asda if he's offered a job as a night worker after an interview last week.
He said: "I'm looking for work at the moment. I want to have a job and I'd definitely be up for working at Asda - there's a big new store opening nearby in November."
