Kent publishing company KOS Media is launching eight new free newspapers, local websites and online TV channels.
The publisher of the award-winning Kent on Sunday and the Saturday Observer is unveiling the new weekly titles and community services in September.
Kentnews.co.uk will continue to be updated with the biggest news stories across the county, while there will be a variety of new online channels including Business TV, Sport TV, Leisure TV, Property TV, and Motors TV.
KOS Media is launching the titles YourAshfordPaper, YourCanterburyPaper, YourDoverPaper, YourFolkestonePaper, YourMaidstonePaper, YourMedwayPaper, YourSwalePaper and YourThanetPaper.
And KOS Media is also setting up an online TV channel called yourkenttv.co.uk where people can access local community TV channels.
The company, which is based near Ashford, plans to use WAP technology so people can have news sent straight to their mobile phones.
Over the next few weeks, promotional ‘road runners’ will be out and about at events across Kent, letting people know about the new products.
Nearer the launch in September there will be around 90 promotion and distribution road runners across the areas, and if you would like to part of this team call Barbara Coker on 01303 817072.
Local children's charities will benefit as KOS Media will be donating money to Help A Local Child for every household that registers for the new online services.
KOS Media's managing director, Paul Stannard, announced plans to launch the online TV channels, local websites and newspapers, at the Kent Show earlier this month.
Professor Richard Scase, a leading business forecaster, praised the proposals when he addressed key county figures at Kent’s Future Live, KOS Media’s annual regeneration showcase.
He held them up as an example of the entrepreneurial and enterprising attitude needed for the future economic survival of Kent.
KOS Media was founded in 2002. Since then, it has won more awards than many media companies have in their entire history.
In 2004 Kent on Sunday became the first free newspaper to scoop the overall Newspaper of the Year prize at Press Gazette's Regional Press Awards.
