A nuisance drunk was thrown back behind bars after breaching the conditions of his two-year ASBO within five hours of it being issued.

The serial drinker was finally banned from drinking or possessing an open container of alcohol while in the town after he was arrested for attempting to hijack a couple’s wedding photos outside the Archbishop’s Palace.
As well as his recently acquired ASBO, the offender also had more than 10 convictions to his name for drunken related violent incidents.

* A second nuisance drunk has also been slapped with an ASBO for acting drunk and disorderly in Maidstone.
Robert King, of no fixed address, has been banned from entering licensed premises, using foul or abusive language or behaviour that would cause distress to others, being drunk or drinking alcohol in the town centre.
The 51-year-old was arrested on Monday after he entered The Gateway council offices while he was drunk and created a disturbance.
King has been arrested 15 times this year for drunken related offences.
Town centre officer PC Desmond Dalzell said: “We are taking a hard line in approaching alcohol related crime in Maidstone, as is proved by this second Anti-Social Behaviour Order granted in the space of two weeks.
“Such offences are a blight on the county town and I and my colleagues are committed to clamping down on such nuisance behaviour, wherever it occurs.
“We want to enforce acceptable levels of behaviour in Maidstone and take action against the minority of people who are intent on intimidating or harassing others.”
King’s ASBO will last for two years and he has been ordered to pay £50 court costs.
Anyone who witnesses King breaching is conditions is asked to call police on 01622 690055.
