Barry Bethell trial date set

Barry Bethell will answer charges of sexual assault and child porn in November.

Bethell, made famous in the early '90s on the Slimfast adverts, is charged with possessing six indecent photographs of children on February 6 at levels one and two.

Bethell, 64, of Kimberley Grove, Seasalter, has denied charges of sexual assault and downloading child pornography.

The DJ pleaded not guilty at a preliminary hearing earlier this year, and was remanded in custody until his trial on November 11.

The case will be heard at Canterbury Crown Court, and is expected to last two weeks.
