Images as torch starts final day in county

Thousands got up early and schools allowed students a late start, as the Olympic Torch Relay made its way through Maidstone and then the Medway towns this morning.

After an overnight stop at Maidstone’s Leeds Castle, the torch went through Mote Park and the town centre before travelling in convoy to Gillingham.
