The show is coming to Bromley for the first time next week

Combining ‘cirque’ style skills with off-the-scale thrilling stunt action, Cirque Berserk is a danger-filled spectacle that will amaze audiences of all ages and arrives at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley on January 18.

Showcasing the finest in traditional circus thrills and skills, Zippos Cirque Berserk brings this treasured form of live entertainment bang up-to-date in a jaw dropping spectacular.

Witness the legendary Motorcycle Globe of Terror – four motorcyclists reach speeds of over 60mph within the confines of a locked steel cage. Plus experience thrilling acts from over 30 jugglers, acrobats, aerialists, dancers, musicians and death-defying stunt men, and award-winning comedian, Tweedy will also join the troupe.

Commenting on the show, Tweedy says: “We’ve never been to Bromley, and having the show in a theatre brings a new element and makes it more dangerous.

“The show is exciting and gets everyone’s adrenaline going as the acts are fascinatingly terrifying.

“In the show, the acrobats and gymnasts are performing, and I’m messing around underneath, trying to do what they do but failing. It’s the kind of act people can relate to because most people would watch the acrobats and think ‘there’s no way I could do that’.

“I love what I do because it hits all three generations, no matter what a person’s age, it can make everyone laugh.”

Clowns have taken a rather negative view from the public in recent months, due to a ‘killer clown’ craze.

However, Tweedy, reassures that he’s not a typical clown.

“I’m more of a Charlie Chaplin, slapstick character. I don’t wear clown make-up or anything, my image is much more simple than that.

“The craze that went around at Halloween didn’t affect my business to much because I don’t have that image. Although a few parents did ring up beforehand to check what kind of clown the show had.”
