It’s been 16 years since his debut album reached number one, but his recent album also went to number one last year

Brit Award nominee Craig David is set to headline this year’s Castle Concerts at Rochester Castle.

On July 13 he will take to the stage in front an audience of 4,500 at the Medway venue as part of his tour which kicks off tonight in Cardiff.

Sixteen years after his debut album Born To Do It reached number one, Mr David is back at the top with his latest album, Following My Intuition which flew straight to the number one spot in the official albums chart when released in 2016.

Audiences can expect all the classics and hits from the latest album.

Mr David said: “I’m really looking forward to playing at Rochester Castle, there’s always something special about playing outside in the English summer!”

Medway Council’s portfolio holder in charge of events Howard Doe said: “This show is going to be a real treat for fans. The small and unique venue creates a wonderful atmosphere, quite an exclusive feel as only a lucky few get their hands on tickets compared to larger arenas like the O2.

“I know we always say it, but those who want to get their hands on tickets need to be quick in order to avoid disappointment.”

Tickets for Craig David’s Castle Concert go on sale at 10am on March 30.

They can be purchased via thecastleconcerts.co.uk, calling the box office on 01634 338338, or by visiting the Brook Theatre or Central Theatre in Chatham, or the Visitor Information Centre in Rochester High Street.
