The high voltage cable fault also affected the park’s online booking system
Margate theme park Dreamland is set to re-open as normal on Wednesday after having to turn away visitors this afternoon due to a power outage.
The problem, which occurred at around lunchtime on Tuesday, also affected its online booking system and comes just days before its popular Halloween extravaganza, Screamland, kicks off, which is expected to pull in thousands of visitors.
However, bosses are confident it will not affect their showpiece event.
A spokesperson said: “We have established that this is an on-site high voltage cable fault. We have an operational team on site which includes high voltage engineers who have been working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
“We expect to be fully operational tomorrow.”
The park recently announced its operator, Sands Heritage Ltd, will exit administration at the end of the month, following almost 18 months in financial limbo.
But prior to its summer opening this year, some £25m into revamping the park and putting a key focus on events in a bid to turn it into a year-round venue.
A key success story has been hosting major music events - including a show by Gorillaz which sold out within minutes of going on sale.
